Hakkında

“The Journal of Palestine Studies is excited to announce the release of JPS 194, which is free to all readers through June. This issue features the second of a seminal two-part study on the Peel Commission in which Laila Parsons uncovers recently declassified material concerning secret testimony to the commission.

In addition, this issue features a special report on Israel’s exploitation of the Dead Sea in contravention of international law. Authors Aseil Abu-Baker and Marya Farah focus on the Israeli government’s exclusion of Palestinians from opportunities to benefit from the mineral riches of their native resources. JPS 194 also offers a contribution by Ben White to our occasional series on the conflation of anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism. The essay examines Israel’s efforts to smear Palestine advocacy as anti-Semitic.

The Journal is especially proud to be running reviews of two 2019 Palestinian Book Award winners in this issue: Noura Erakat’s Justice for Some: Law and the Question of Palestine (Stanford University) and Andrew Ross’ Stone Men: The Palestinians Who Built Israel (Verso Books).”
